Mt Elbrus, the tallest mountain in Europe, is a watch tower between the continents of Europe and Asia.  Mt. Elbrus is a dormant double cone stratovolcano with twin summits that vary in height by only 47 meters.  The Caucasus Mountain, for which Mt. Elbrus is located, rises up between the Black and Caspian seas.  In addition, the Caucasus mountain range divides Europe from Asia and Russia to the north.  Mt.Elbrus is the highest peak in the European continent.
